Kevin R. Mulligan
Chazy Central Rural School in 1916 became the first centralized rural school in the United States. Since then the greater community of Chazy, NY has embraced the school as its center piece. School year 2004-2005 saw CCRS continue to excel academically. Chazy led area schools in 4th and 8th grade NY state test scores, and saw 39% of its high school students achieve mastery (85% or higher) on the Regents exams. Chazy is also know for its soccer tradition with both boys and girls teams competing in the NY State Final Four for several years. This past year the boys soccer team won the Class D State Championship. Sectional titles have also been won in both boys and girls basketball and girls softball in 2005. We are most proud of our parental and community support in the success of our children. Chazy is proud to have a very active PTO, After School Program, community theater, and athletic association, along with many other community and student organizations. I look forward to serving the community of Chazy as the new Superintendent of Schools. I am most proud of the fact that my three children all graduated from Chazy Central Rural School.
