ART IS NOT FUN ART IS HARD WORK HARD WORK IS FUN
The Art Department is providing a program of study that incorporates the N.Y. St. Learning Standards for the arts. Creating and participating in the Arts-students explore their own potential to think creatively, to solve problems with ingenuity, and to respond to events and experiences with confidence. Understanding cultural dimensions and contributions of the Visual-Arts students discover their artistic heritage and learn to understand the culture of which they are a part and those of others with whom they live. Responding to and analyzing works of Art-students learn about the power of visual images to influence human behavior, their aspirations, and those of society. Knowing and using arts materials and resources-students understand that they can effect improvement in their environment and that they can shape their lives, their communities, and their Nation. The students participation is demonstrated by the work on display throughout the school. | |||||||||||||||||||||
