Objectives of Library Program:
The library media center at Chazy Central Rural High School serves students in grades 7-12, faculty, and staff.

  • To provide students with a variety of authoritative information sources.
  • To help students develop effective information literacy skills.
  • To encourage all students to become lifelong learners.
  • To nurture a love of reading in all students.
  • To ensure all library users are effective users of information.


Library Policies

  • Books may be borrowed for 3 weeks (15 school days).
  • Books may be renewed unless others have requested the title.
  • A fine of $.05 per school day will be charged for overdue books.
  • Reference and reserve books may be borrowed at the end of the day and are due before first period of the next school day.
  • A fine of $1.00 per school day will be charged for overdue overnight books. Fines begin to incur if the book is not returned before first period on the date due.
  • Periodicals, newspapers, videos, and CDROMs may be used in the library only.
  • Interlibrary loan is available if necessary resources are not owned by the CCRS library.
  • Students are welcome to use the library throughout the day during study halls and eighth period.
  • Photocopies are $.10 each.
