PowerPoint is a presentation graphics package that provides the potential for creating professional-looking presentations. The PowerPoint package offers easy to use and learn tools such as: word processing, outlining, drawing, graphing, and presentation management tools. It is crucial that students understand that PowerPoint be utilized as is a tool that enhances a presentation. It is not meant to replace nor overshadow the human element.
PowerPoint:
¥ is made up of a series of slides
¥ allows for printing and saving of audience handouts, outlines, and speaker's notes
¥ integrates well with other hardware and software tools

Reflections:
Teaching
time would increase for inclusion of scanning, and use of digital camera and digital video camera equipment only if additional software instruction was required (ie Adobe Photoshop Elements and iMovie). Simple inclusion of scanned documents and pictures would be included as part of day 3 instruction for sounds, pictures, and movies.
Overall,
students enjoy the creative aspect of this unit. Many of them will put many hours of additional time in
beyond the allotted class time. In
addition, some students will utilize additional software not required, such as
Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Elements.
